      An Inconvenient Truth for Kidz-thumb

An Inconvenient Truth is an enthusiastic and uplifting look into former Vice President Al Gore’s sincere efforts to put a stop to the ever-progressing global warming. His mission to reveal the false notions surrounding it. We see a side of Gore that we’ve never seen before in this full feature documentary. He is humorous, uplifting and sincere in warning the public of this environmental emergency before it’s too late.

Gore exposes his personal environmental saving adventure by delivering relevant facts and his future predictions. From his days as a college student, Gore reveals he foresaw this environmental disaster emerging. When he was Senator he dealt with a family tragedy that forever changed his perspective on the topic. Present day, we see a man who almost became President of the US, but instead went back to his devotion to the environment.

This full-length feature documentary emphasizes hope and brings to light a topic that is no longer a political one. Global warming, instead has become one of the largest moral challenges our society is dealing with today. An Inconvenient Truth is an award-winning documentary taking home two Academy Awards, Best Documentary Feature and Best Song. It debuted at the 2006 Sundance Film Festival with rave reviews.

Definitely a must-see for everyone, not just environmental activists.

great post! thanks for putting this up. love this website

      Sorry, couldn’t resist this one.

Al Gore was never the President of the United States. And he’s a blowhard who shrinks from debate and uses many times more energy for his over-sized domicile than the average American energy hog. Also, he uses an automated, energy-sucking, personal forklift to illustrate the exaggerated, electrically back-lit, over-sized warming graph in this very documentary for which he could have used a laser pointer. My hero.

I’ve seen plenty of this kind of films and asked myself one question; “would it be the same on earth (as far as climate and “global warming” is concerned) if people did not live here at all?” Well, the answer is simple, YES. Look at the history of earth. it’s been happening many times, the rise of temperature and fall , but people then were not advanced enough to come up with the idea that “we” are responsible for it. And, then noone would pay any money for that kind of studies, now you dont even imagine how much guys who “take care of” global warming make. Just one more info :ONE VOLCANO PRDUCES MORE POLLUTION THAT THE ENTIRE HUMAN POPULATION” don’t belive in the crap of global warmimg, there are people dying in Africa from hunger and you are concerned because the summer is hotter that a year before!!!!!

    • elijah

mardelf….did you even watch the documentary? facts are facts, whether the source is biased or not.

    • Robbyou

Yes facts are facts. The problem is, if you listen to the other side of the argument, they ALSO produce facts which dispute the claims made in this film. I need not place them out here, but a quick search of both sides will find a wealth of information on both sides. It should be noted that as time goes on more and more legitimate scientists remove their names from previous accredited papers on the subject. Be it politics or new information or just a change of heart, the more ground the debate seems to win, the more “real” scientists reverse or modify their feelings on the subject. Facts are facts, but the earth has been around for a long time, and we have a rather large ego to imagine that we can comprehend all of the geological changes and the reasons that cause them.

    • Ayla

It’s not about being “concerned because the summer is hotter than a year before”, its about future generations (OUR offspring) not having a pleasant or easy way of life just because we have to have everything we want every minute of every day. We are sucking the earth dry and poisoning our own air and water, all for a little instant gratification. Mankind will look back at this point in history with regret, sadness and hopefully (since hindsight is always 20/20) will realize just what we have done. Fucked ourselves over. Pretty bad.

It’s very sad the number of global warming critics there are. If you doubt global warming/climate change you’re obviously…old.

I worked as an intern at my local representative’s office. They had me tally the results of 700 surveys. Most of these constituents were conservative–and old. Just like counting tree rings, you could tell how old they were by how shaky their handwriting was.

Shaky handwriting and old age is highly correlated to global warming naysayers.

I still have hope that something will be done to protect the environment because pretty soon all you global warming critics will be pushing daisies.

    • Robbyou

Another interesting correlation with Global warming is the rise in temperature and the decline of Pirates. Graph that out on google and see.

    • mardelf

Well, I didn’t mean the global warming is a fake. There is global warming for sure and a climate change is inevitable. What I believe is people can do very little to change it in comparison what earth itself does every year, every 100years that actually changes our climate. What we can do, however, is to protect and help people who really need our financial help. You guys, as well as I do, come every afternoon home after work, grab a book or spend 20$ for some junky food when there are people who work 16 hours and their children are still dying from hunger, poisoned water or medicine shortage. We are just lucky we were born where we were, but some weren’t lucky enough and the world pretend they dont exist.

    • DJ

      ALGORE ? I didn’t realize you had a comedy section .
Nobel Prize winner indeed . good to see Europe still has a sense of humor .

    • Robbyou

I fully agree that people can do little if anything about it (either causing or stopping this geological and environmental change). My point was that if you look at enough data, you can pull out two seemingly unrelated facts, place them up aginst each other and try to draw some line of logic between them. It is a big run-around circle of my facts are better than your facts. 25 years of Earthday finger-shaking and what has it accomplished? Well McDonalds does not have those styrofoam containers… That is a start.

    • ssimon

Did you ask yourself why don’t Al mention 1.300.000 cows on our planet (influencing global heating more than all road traffic combined- mostly with methane).
The sun activity is far more influential on climate change than man. (we’re at the end of interglacial period again)
Not that I’m saying everything is OK considering human impact on the planet (far from it).
But I don’t like media manipulation (fact manipulation). Did you know that last years average temp dropped 1 degree C? Yes that’s right… check it out. So why the media still proceeds with a story of global warming?
      oh… of course I forgot… now it’s called climate change ;-)

    • DJ

It’s not about climate change , it’s about getting USA to sign a climate treaty that gives Europe control of a large portion of the US GDP . Socialist are always looking for ways to control USA’s wealth .

      • ssimon

it’s about Kyoto protocol and suppressing China’s economy – by limiting cheap fossil fuels economy…
…so it’s about preserving US domination

    • DJ

China hasn’t a thing to do with US not signing . China suppresses it’s own economy , it’s called communism . US domination is an effect of it’s wealth and freedoms .
Even the most liberal US president wouldn’t sign on to this .
      Nice try though !

    • Steve

Al Gore was found by a British court to have made many significant false claims (lies) in this piece of science fiction, whether you are a warmest or a skeptic like me makes no difference, this should be avoided at all costs in favour of something that’s at least based on real science.

    • robbyou

Even if it were PROVEN that humans are causing global warming, AND we dropped emissions to 50 percent of 1990 levels, we would not see a significant reduction in the effects until around the year 2100. One can’t simply turn the shut-off valve and expect things to empty out like a tub. How much is it worth to stop a few degree change over a hundred year process? In 1900 we had neither the insight to see if we were effecting the environment or not, nor the technology to correct it. What amazing tech will we have in another 100 years? Spending billions on this now with no realistic plan is nearsighted. if this is actually happening, we should be investing in research and development of repair mechinism not throwing a half full cup of water on a bonfire

    • Lotharloo

      @ mardelf

Anyone who told you about one volcano producing more “pollution” than human population has lied to you. Humans produce 100 times more co2 than the volcanoes: http://hvo.wr.usgs.gov/volcanowatch/2007/07_02_15.html

U r ignorant and have no idea about these problems. Next time double check information u post before u make an idiot of urself again!

    • Finn Hansen

fuck you are all retarded, can no one see the big picture, even if climate change is not made by human`s it would still be good to cut emissions, atleast for the human health. or am i wrong ? american`s are so fucked up these days. best greeting from europe.

Gosh, I wish I would have had that ifnoarmtoin earlier!

Al gore must stop make money from climate change. Every body know it big lie to make money. Mr. Gore make show on monsanto. Save the world food people animals. Make monsanto stop hurting every body for money. Mr. Gore have money monsanto to. Now stop hurting us please.

    • Bill

Al Gore is an appointed climate change scammer. The entire concept of climate change is a scam, pushed to usher in a global carbon so-called green tax to yet again squeeze the gullible populations finances to enrich the carbon taxes creators. The Earth has been through alot worse in its past. Massive volcanic eruptions ( that dwarf the industrial revolution ), Meteor and comet impacts, ice ages, pole shifts to mention a few. So weigh it up 4.7 billion year old planet versus the 200 year old industrial revolution. Violent changes in the Earth’s climate lately are nothing to do with burning fossil fuels but everything to do with the rapid destruction of forests where the trees in the trpoical rainforests of the amazon and elsewhere play a major role in the stability of our climate in controlling gases. Guess who has investments in logging in these areas…follow the money.
