all this stories about religion amuse me…

they are living in a delusion..

a book that is all it is a book writen by man.

how about beliving in snow withe or better

      donald duck.
religion is but a tool to control the masses.

    • The Tay

well, technically it ended up being used to control the masses. it was created as a historical account, corrupted, and manipulated as a means to attain unity, and THEN it was finally used to control the masses.

There should of been more about kid jesus, I was in stitches laughing when it said e resurrected his friend

    • COMPASSION

how do you know that the universe is not simply a single cell of an eyelash mite residing at the root of I the creators eyelash?

    • The Tay

how do i know, whenever i close my eyes, the world winks out of existance, and I am not god. fact is we can speculate but if you have no firm notion on what you are saying then it IS just speculation. Compassion, i wont question beliefs, but i also wont engage in what ifs. i do believe in a god, just not in religion.

      alex aposto, I completely agree.

Even funnier, every couple thousand years the existing religion is overthrown.

There used to be Egyptian gods, Norse gods, Olympian gods, Roman gods, etc. They were replaced through intense violence with the Christian god in most places.

If you think about it, a long time ago, the gods mentioned above were all as "legit" as our god is today.

Logically something must have made the universe, it's laws or the "big bang", assuming the theory is correct (probably not, it's just the only way we can picture it). So god might exist, but likely not in the sense that the Bible says.

Of course, many very religious people will make sense of this book, indeed written by men, just because they want it to make sense and for it to be the "word of god", even though its stories make some people burst out in laughter if they think of then logically.

Religion is the most powerful weapon ever made by man. The atomic bomb is nothing compared to it. Religion took from politics and improved to such a degree that all people become sheep.. *baah* and believe everything, even when the church changes their mind 100 times or adds slips something in there unnoticed.

Why I see religion as bad: it has held back the evolution of mankind for thousands of years. Anything that was advancement was seen as witchcraft. We would have been hundreds of years ahead of where we are now.

In conclusion, religion has obviously done some good as well, and thankfully, they cannot oppose technology like they used to. Now the real problem are the global corporations that have world wide monopolies.

Business will destroy the world. Many people I talk to want more money, their own business, profit profit profit. Cannot do this forever.

i think george charlin said it the best: religion is the greatest bullshit story ever made

I still remember when a religious friend of mine tried to convince me that God created the world in 7 days. Has anyone seen the documentary where they tried to prove Jesus and everything in the bible actually happened? It was like watching people hunt for the tooth fairy.

i’d like to read some of these books -gospel of Mary, apocalipse of Peter- are they translated & printed? where could i read part of them? If someone knows…

    • c

you couldn’t have said it better! :)

every ideology is a tool to control the masses. you are part of the masses. you are also deluded.

stop being so self-righteous and open your eyes, how many of your own ideas and thoughts do you really think you came up with?

we are all the product of historical and social construction. to believe that religion is the only method by which people are brainwashed is so naive, and it proves how brainwashed you truly are.

      wake up.
