Ten rockets will be needed to carry the equipment towards the mothership stationed in space. The crew will likewise also journey to there, where everything will be grouped and assembled. The task is an ambitious one, albeit slowly coming into a reality.

The journey to Mars will take 56 million kilometers or roughly three years and the crew and engineers have only one chance to get it all right, as lives are greatly at stake here.

Will their gaseous formation eventually fill the Earth? This video examines it through computer graphics and deeper study, while imagining what life would be like, if it does exist in their atmosphere.

Particle physicist Dr Brian Cox wants to know why the universe is built the way it is. He believes the answers lie in the force of gravity. But Newton thought gravity was powered by God, and even Einstein failed to completely solve it. Heading out with his film crew on a road trip across the USA, Brian fires lasers at the moon in Texas, goes mad in the desert in Arizona, encounters the bending of space and time at a maximum security military base, tries to detect ripples in our reality in the swamps of Louisiana and searches for hidden dimensions just outside Chicago.

Fifty years ago, something was discovered in a cave. This is more common than we may think: as our ancestors used caves for shelter and dwelling. Most often, what is found is a scrap of cloth, pottery, etc. Sometimes, a human skull.

On this day, a man found a skull. It turned out to be human -technically, it turned out to be Neanderthal. The skull was wrapped with tiny pollen from flowers. In fact, the whole skeleton was covered in the pollen. The man guessed that the skull’s ancestors had adorned the body with flowers in its grave. This would illustrate an awareness of death and a desire to honor – even artistically – the death.

Canada’s legendary scientist, Dr. David Suzuki hosts and narrates this Discovery Channel journey through the depths of the human mind.

Enjoy!

The presenter seems like quite a down to earth guy, and he seems fairly open minded about what he’s got filmed, whatever it is i’d like to get an explanation for it.

Hello All.

I recently applied for the opportunity to post up some films on this site, and the admin of documentary-log has kindly issued me with that privilege. So here is my first for you – Apollo Zero. While this film won’t give you a definitive yes or no answer to the question “have we been to the moon?”, it does raise some fresh ideas which i hadn’t considered before. For example, did you know that the furthest manned mission into space (other than the apollo missions) took its astronauts only 400 miles from Earth, while the Moon sits 240,000 miles away? There’s a big difference between those 2 distances, and i wonder a bit why no other country, or America since, has claimed to have even come close to sending its people further into space than it is claimed we went in the Sixties. I’m not convinced as to whether or not we went to the Moon, but this film got me thinking again. See for yourself and make your own judgements.

Cosmology Quest is an AMAZING documentary about the controversy around the redshift of stellar objects. I was impressed by Halton Arps and hi fight for mainstream cosmology in presenting controversial evidence. A must see for any cosmology buff! It’s really a story that needs to be told, has been told, but people aren’t listening.

Which begs the question: if a documentary is made and no one sees it – does it still deserve funding? The answer is YES: because we just have to do our best to help people discover this important documentary.
