This film is an examination on the different types of war — from imperialism to the military wars — and draws out the consequences of these, in the hopes of finding what it will take to achieve peace in the world. It takes into account the many casualties of war, of children becoming orphans or wives becoming widows. It explores the triggers of war, which some say is driven on hate. And for as long as that exists, it may be impossible to attain peace in this world.

The Mystery of the Romanovs

For more than a century, the final moments of what happened to the Romanovs, Russia’s royal family, remains a mystery. Tsar Nicholas II, his wife and children were apparently captured and was set to be executed when the Bolsheviks raided the palace. Two of his children apparently escaped.

But in 2007, archeologists apparently discovered two sets of skeletons believed to be the remains of Anastasia and the Tsarevich Alexei, the missing children.

This documentary explores the truth behind the Romanovs and the latest findings from scientists.

Thriller in Manila

Thriller in Manila was known as one of the best moments in boxing history. It featured Muhammad Ali who was the World Heavyweight Boxing Champion at that time. He was set to fight against his arch rival Joe Frazier, and this fight, staged in Manila, Philippines, on October 1, 1975, was filled with tension and drama.

The two boxers were known to have hated each other’s guts and being pitted for the third time, the crowd was expecting a definitive match.

This documentary gives a historical account of one of sports’ most unforgettable encounters between two legendary boxers. The feature includes eyewitness accounts from witnesses like former Philippine First Lady Imelda Marcos.

The documentary also has a few behind the scene stories that will show what went on before and after the match.

Finding Atlantis

Have Atlantis been found? The legendary lost city has been more of a fable than actual truth in recent years. Atlantis was said to be destroyed by a devastating tsunami many years ago. But with the use of satellite photography and underwater technology, experts may have already found proof that this ancient city actually existed.

Exploring the marshlands of Spain, to the south of the country, the team from National Geographic matches geological formations to how Plato has described this lost city. The team cites Cadiz as the area where the city may have most likely submerged using satellite maps and digital imagery taken between 2009 and 2010.

Could they have solved one of civilizations most mind-boggling mysteries?

I’m the other new guy around, Louis from Switzerland.

As I am generally not a man of many words – Here’s my first documentary for you.

Islands of Scotland – 1 of 6 – Isle of Skye and The Small Isles

Have you ever been to Scotland? I have. And it was one of the most beautiful countries I’ve seen so far. Breathtaking and simply amazing.

Down below I provide you with the first of six parts of an awesome documentary about the scottish islands. This one shows you the Isle of Skye and some of the Small Isles from an airborne perspective.

If you are a fan of amazing scenery, natural islands, or just Scotland in general, you’ll certainly love this one.
