please share:Hop aboard the Beagle, as evolutionary biologist Richard Dawkins takes us on the journey of Charles Darwin’s ideas. In The Genius of Charles Darwin, viewers will get insight into this brilliant man’s life. The film will focus on his fascination for nature and his adventures aboard his ship ‘the Beagle”. The film examines how Darwin came to know about evolution and how he presented his theories to the public.
This three-part television documentary was originally shown of Channel 4 and was received the Best TV Documentary Award in 2008 at the British Broadcast Awards. Life, Darwin and Everything, the first of three parts explores how Charles Darwin created his theory. It explains the simple mechanism of natural selection.
The second part of The Genius of Charles Darwin, The Fifth Ape covers the social and philosophical consequences of the theory of revolution. Dawkins touches on how Darwin was wrongly tainted by explaining how eugenics and social Darwinism are not versions of natural selection.
God Strikes Back, the third and last part in this exciting television series details why Darwin and his theory are one of the most controversial ideas in history. Dawkins reflect on how Darwin’s loss of his own daughter Annie, contributed to his loss of faith.
