I own the book companion to this BBC series and after enjoying the book so throughly, this series is definately lacking in the details and overall impact of the materials presented in the book companion. Still these videos are informational but lack the bittersweetness and inner reflection that this difficult topic bring up.

The conquistadores were state-sponsored pirates pure and simple. All European invaders brought with them all manner of negativity that is associated with colonialism; racism, slavery, etc.. Modern-day North American Natives (including Mexicans), Central, and South American Natives are the real true Americans. They are true continentals; not any decendants of Europeans.

yeah state sponsored pirates? nothing like state sponsored sacrifices. the only racist is you. that cant look at history and the circumstances surrounding it, with out blaming a race. there was no peace in the Americas. there was competition amongst tribes. u r a retard. take your anti white racism some where else.

the differing tribes and empires of north america had slavery, had colonization and sacrifices of people. perhaps they became racist against whites being a new race but is really no more than another tribe far more advanced and civilized. Am so sick of the biased anti white rhetoric put forward by ignorant parakeets, tools, pawns ,of the political left which are no more than neo communists and racist non whites.
