Dawn Of The Clone Age

In 1997 a team of British scientists transformed something many of us had become accustomed to seeing in science fiction films into a reality. Could it really be possible to clone an animal, to clone a person, to clone a living thing? For some it was a frightening reality when what many believed to be impossible was finally achieved.
Dawn of the Clone Age takes an in-depth look into how Dolly the sheep was cloned. The documentary showcases the struggles and achievements these leading scientists endured in order to make cloning a reality. Featuring interviews with Dr. Keith Campbell and Dr. Ian Wilmut at the Roslin Institute in Edinburgh, the film reveals the unique struggle in which they endured discovering the Holy Grail of embryology.
Dolly the sheep represents advancements in modern science, as well as our worst fears all into one. Could this be the dawn of a new era? What will scientists clone next? Technology continues to advance at a rapid rate and although the new ability to clone is an extremely great achievement for modern science is could impose ethical implications in the future. Imagine two of yourself? Two of your worst enemy? Is Dolly just the beginning of a cloned society?
