      This documentary features the life-changing story of Janet Reimer and her twin boys. Brian and Bruce Reimer were born healthy twin boys on August 22, 1965 in Winnipeg, Canada. Janet couldn’t have been happier with her healthy baby boys, but they would unfortunately end up leading tragic lives ruined by one scientist’s theory.

      At seven months old, the twin boys were sent to a local hospital in Manitoba to undergo routine circumcision. Unfortunately, the doctor putting forth the procedure was using electrical equipment and it malfunctioned several times. On the last attempt, Bruce’s penis was burnt off in its entirety, Brian was not operated on. The family were beside themselves, as anyone would be. Plastic surgery wasn’t an option in the sixties and even with today’s technology, it is not suggested that new-borns undergo any type of penis reconstruction operations.

      Several months later, Janet and her husband Ron saw a television show that would provide them with hope. A highly renowned sexologist, Dr. John Money was being showcased in a debate about sex change operations on transsexuals. Bringing a transsexual with him on the show, who was convincingly feminine.

      But what would become of this family and their experiment on this boy. Dr. Money and the Boy With No Penis reveals their story.

      Welcome back Doc Log ! Glad to see you survived exams – hope they went well. This is an excellent documentary. I recall seeing it on TV some time ago. Worth watching again here.

      welcome back admin good luck on your results.
      id like to state on this subject that i find it rather rediculous western politicians and pretty much all women denounce female circumcision as 'female genital mutilation' but find it appropriate to carry out on males. this is a rediculous tradition for starters and when things like this happen, life changing things in this sort of society, it gets made into a tv show.
      circumcision of all forms needs to stop, it is not only rediculous as previously stated but its actually pointless, it in fact is not mroe hygenic, less if anything, its usually to do with religion which we should all be realising is made up and totally irrelevant to modern life, and the genitals are the most expressive of any external organ, to edit such is idiocy.

      I find it ironic that Dr Money worked with transexuals, that is people who were raised one sex and felt that they were another, when he believed in nuture over nature.

      What transexual`s parents secretly nutured them to be women too?

      Gee, I wonder how they went about explaining the fact that they looked IDENTICAL, yet they were different sexes? The kid was screwed even before they burned his dick off because he was stuck with a mother whose intelligence was equivalent to a box of rocks!

      (speaking to DKs comment): Isn't female circumcision an archaic African custom that is preformed for the sole purpose of making it impossible (for her) to achieve an orgasm? I don't get why this would be an issue of concern for western politicians specifically.

      I wasn't interested at first to watch this documentary, call me a prude, I don't care. However, I'm really glad I did. I'm pursuing a masters in political science and believe me, a lot of stuff the social sciences come out with is a just a load of bs. In fact, I'd rate this doc on my top ten list. RIP Brian and David.

      Oh my, for the 30+ years I've been on this earth, involved with the human race…it still amazes me how biased…how fanatically biased and foolish people can be. To the point of being sick and perverse…evil even. This doctor and those that support and defend him in this documentary. All I can say is, "WoW"! They are so blind, so ignorant of the situation, of the morality involved, of the negative impact they had on this person and society. They should be…..banished! WoW!

      @Alex: Crime against nature or not, it's utterly unnecessary in most cases, and IMHO should be considered grave abuse of children. It's pretty sad that these procedures are still accepted in civilized societies.

      The ending sentence was a very sad one.

      And this is why you parents should stop circumcising your baby boys! They can, and some do, suffer terrible damage or complete loss of their penis.

      Evolution produced males (of many species) with a penis sheath or foreskin. It's there for a reason. The medical establishment in North America will never be more "intelligent" than the evolutionary process.

      As for the Jews and the Muslims and their holy penis chopping ceremonies –poor, hopeless religious primitives.

      Live and Learn. Now we know. Too bad for the Guy, I can understand why he was angry, but dont think the Dr was trying to get sexual, but simply went way to far. We know now to wait an see what the brain wants. What your Brain is attracted to sexualy.

      As a scientist and soon-to-be-mother, I find it appalling and frightening how carreerism and self ambition can lead to total disregard for the true pursuit of knowledge and the preciousness of life. This documentary gives a very extreme and tragic example of some of the BS that goes on in the scientific community. It is very dangerous to blindly believe in one's theories, without constant questioning. Unfortunately, the priorities of many researchers today are financial, leading to mass publication of crappy, unreliable results that, in the long run, don't benefit anyone. This is a very sad story of the human suffering brought on by such selfish behaviour.

      Beware the priests of the post Christian religions; Money, Kinsey, ________,________,_________,etc,etc,etc. Wether they are High Priests of social science or physical science, they ARE fallible.
      How long would any faith last that every ten rears or so admits that it’s teachings were fallacious, but now they have THE truth this time. We are a gullible generation.
      The damage done to individuals in the generation(s) following Kinsey, Money etc, is nearly as incalculable as the damage done to society. Social change is one thing, social change guided by fraud and is tragic.
