Easy Riders, Raging Bulls

Released in 2003, Easy Riders, Raging Bulls is a great documentary about the new wave of amateur filmmakers that took over Hollywood in the late 1960s. These filmmakers went on to makes some of the most renowned movies of our time. It was based upon a book of the same name that was released in 1998, written by Peter Biskind and published by Simon and Schuster.
The title originates from two exquisite films from that period. Easy Rider was released in 1969 and Raging Bull in 1980. The movie, much like the book it is based upon takes viewers behind the scenes in Hollywood just before the controversial Vietnam War. Following a group of Hollywood directors known as the “movie brats,” the film sheds light on the era beginning in the 1960s to the end of it in the 1980s.
Some of the great films created during that time were the epic films, The Godfather and Godfather II. Taxi Driver, Star Wars, the thrilling Jaws film and who can forget the frightening film, The Exorcist. Easy Riders, Raging Bulls features interviews and profiles from some of Hollywood’s key players at the time. This includes Dennis Hopper, Peter Fonda, Kris Kristofferson, Richard Dreyfuss, Cybill Shepherd and Gordon Willis, to name just a few.
A great film for Hollywood and film enthusiasts!
