Failed Inventions

Everyone has ideas, some are good, some are bad. But, it’s what you do with these ideas of yours that matter. Staying up late at night or waking extremely early, you’re sure to catch an infomercial advertising the next great invention. I’ve often found myself wondering, seriously do people really buy that? But they must.
Better yet, just the other day I was visiting a friend of mine and noticed she owned a head scratcher. I thought, oh my gosh she paid $9.99 for something that looked like a whisk cut open, just to scratch her head. I later found out it was a gift from a neighbour, but regardless it was purchased. At one time, that head scratching device was merely a thought, a dream for an aspiring inventor. This invention, even though I think it is silly has made it into the world for sale, so many others great ideas don’t get that far.
Failed Inventions, a documentary presented by the History Channel examines takes its viewers into the world of these dreamers and tinkerers. They explore inventors that just missed the accolades by failing in their visions. So next time you think you have a great idea, what will you do with it? Will you be the one with the next great invention or just miss the mark?
