Gravity, it’s the most exacting and strongest force in the universe. It is the force that binds us together. The History Channel explores this powerful force in Gravity. As part of their Universe series, this episode aired during their second season in 2008.The documentary explores this powerful force and the role it plays in the formation of the universe. It looks at the objects within it, how pilots feel the effects of gravity during their training on the “vomit comet” and how weightlessness affects the astronauts while they are in space.

If gravity didn’t exist, would it be possible for the stars, moons, comets, nebulae and even Earth to exist? The History Channel examines this theory and how science and humanity first discovered and put gravity to use. Let Gravity take you on an adventure as viewers learn how to propel objects into the heavens, ski down a slope and ride a wave.

The Universe series features computer-generated imagery and computer graphics, combined with extensive interviews with experts and scientists to provide extensive knowledge in the fields of astronomy, cosmology and astrophysics. Premiering in 2007 four seasons of this fascinating series aired until new episodes began airing in 2011 on H2 exclusively.
