      Discovered in 1943 by Swiss chemist Albert Hofmann, D-lysergic acid diethylamide (or LSD) was first used by researchers as a powerful tool to help unlock the mysteries of the human mind. It was considered an effective tool to treat alcoholism and drug addiction; it was also used to better understand the nature of schizophrenia and other mental illnesses. (Much of that pioneering research was done by a team of researchers based in Saskatchewan.) While researchers were determining the medical benefits of LSD, others — like Aldous Huxley and Timothy Leary— promoted the drug as a powerful tool for self-understanding.

      Fascinating.
      I've always wanted to try LSD-25, but never knew where to get it. Only the bastardized and perhaps dangerous versions were around when I was getting high.

      I really like the association of LSD with mystic and creative experiences. Shows that the mind is still as mysterious as ever. Although a bit old, still definitely worth watching.

      It is definitely a rare thing seeing some fairly neutral accounts of anything LSD related in these neo-puritan times. Thanks for uploading this. Psychedelic research is important for mankind, and most of the information regarding psychedelics seems to be highly biased.

      I sort of wish it had been better filmed, but altogether it was a very good account of what LSD and other psychoactives can do for humans. LSD is something that cannot be accurately described to someone who has never tried it. It's something that people need to experience for themselves.
