Napoleon

Napoleon was crowned the Emperor of France when he was about 35 years old and is remembered in history books as the one who spearheaded the French revolution.
He ruled France for nine years, and during his time, he was able to conquer most of Europe, in what was called the Napoleonic Wars, and had about seventy million subjects under his empire. Napoleon would rise to become such a powerful man and was so successful in his conquests that he was also known as the greatest military leader of all time.
Born of a privileged background, Napoleon had all the opportunities afforded to him to learn about the world. He was a master strategist who knew how to win successful invasions and explorations. His personal life, however, was not as precise and orderly as his military life.
He left a lasting legacy not just to the French military, but the whole world. It was during Napoleon’s time that a military organization was developed, using “corps” to define army’s largest group, among others.
This documentary is a profile on the life and achievements of Napoleon Bonaparte, who became not just a military and political icon, but also a cultural icon.
