Oliver The Chimp

Oliver, although a common chimpanzee, had an unusual built and physical appearance. When photographs of him were presented in 1976, the world went in a frenzy because Oliver looked almost human. He had bald hair, his built was almost straight up, and walked just like how human beings are. He also had human-like qualities because Oliver had been trained while in captivity.
Can he be the missing link? Oliver, for a certain period has had fame all over the world. But the world soon forgot all about him. But now, with DNA testing set in place and perfected by science, Oliver is once again in the limelight. 30 years after he was first introduced to the world, scientists are now going to see if Oliver is indeed the missing link, or if not, find out why he is the way he is.
Oliver was acquired by animal trainers. It’s been said that this animal came from Congo and already, he exhibited an unusual form. His handlers believed that he was some type of human-chimp hybrid. In a previous interview, one of his handlers (Janet Berger) have said that Oliver also exhibited human like characteristics, such as being attracted to her when Oliver was 16 years old. He actually tried to mate with her, which was one of the reasons why Oliver had to be sold.
Watch and learn more about the chimpanzee the world know as Oliver.
