In the age of social media, with the advent of Facebook, dowloadable applications, accessing of the mobile to the world wide web, and virtually anything can be found online these days, the idea of “privacy” it seems have been lost on  us.

This documentary is a presentation by Steve Rambam, an expert on internet and computer privacy and it contains his lecture on how privacy has influences “computer-aided investigation”, where he gave examples of actual resources and database that clearly explains how our data is made easily available in this age. This data contains our preferences, family and health history, habits, finances, and even actual whereabouts.

Rambam also discusses how investigators can easily monitor cases that includes homicide, to missing persons, to frauds, using all these information. In fact, Rambam himself has coordinated and helped many arrests and convictions in over 50 countries because of his experties.

Are you worried about the information you have out there on the internet? This documentary will definitely help you understand the pros and cons of internet privacy.

I found it (the final hour) on google video. Its really quite boring compared to these first 2 hours.

What I found to be most fascinating was not that such personal information could be so easily gathered on an individual, but that so few people seem to be concerned that it could !

Yes, very interesting stuff. A lot of this you already suspect/know but it’s nice to have it crystalised in a talk like this.

Not trust anybody want to know about everybody. Why they not live life and make something good.

I loathe people that reduce our most fundamental and crucial layer of security to a word intended to illicit a idea that it’s not necessary to human life, or that it’s not criminal to take or give it away.
