Hollywood provides us with magnificent images and concepts of what could eventually be one day be a reality. From warp seed, to wormholes and lasers, to transporters, they have been able to use a combination of their creative imaginations and the ever-advancing technology to create science fiction masterpieces. These films for our viewing pleasure makes us wonder what, if any of it is truly possible.

This documentary explores the variety of films, books and magazines that offer these unique science fiction ideas. What was once perceived as impossible is slowly becoming a potential reality. Ideas that were once considered crazy or unattainable are actually closer to becoming a reality than we could ever have imagined. Science Fiction, Science Fact examines these ideas and how scientists are working toward making some of them a reality.

I think of the Jetson’s and how they were perceived to live their lives, flying cars, meals zapped together in minutes, robots catering to your needs, will this ever be a reality? Scientists are currently developing tests for the world’s very first transporter, something the majority of us have only seen in movies and thought would never truly exist. As the creative minds of Hollywood and many of our great authors continues to expand as does the technology around us and scientists ability to transform Science Fiction into Science Fact.

saying something is not possible because you don't understand how it could be possible, silly…how can he call himself a scientist? as a scientists one must realize nothing can truly be proven. intelligent life in the universe is smart enough to stay away and they would not be evolved and intelligent if they came to exterminate us, talk about negative propaganda.
