Star Size Comparison

Does size really matter? Depending on who you are talking to the answer to this questions can differ. This documentary might be brief but its impact on its viewers is quite great. Star size comparison, at just under three minutes long examines the different sizes of celestial bodies. The short movie puts the various sizes into perspective for us, especially when referring to things that are huge. It has the ability to expand your horizons.
What are the different sizes of the many planets in our solar system? How small or large is Earth in comparison to Neptune, Jupiter, Saturn or the other planets? When you look up at the night sky, the thousands upon thousands of stars look like nothing more than tiny specs. The reality is one of the largest stars has a diameter of about 2.800.000.000 km. Our planet looks like a tiny spec when put next to it.
WIth the use of beautiful imagery this short video compares our planet, as well as other to some of the largest stars known by mankind. The many stars listed in the video are Sirius A, the Sun, Pollux, Arcturus, Aldebaran, Rigel, Pistol Star, Antares A, Mu Cephei and VY Canis Majoris. Ranging from white dwarfs to red hypergiants, this brief film will reveal the massive size of the stars.
