This film is truly fascinating as it takes viewers to East Nebraska for a ground-breaking discovery. The year was 1971 when much of East Nebraska was subjected to quite a bit of heavy rain. Mike Voorhies, a palaeontologist travelled to the Midwest town of Orchard that summer and what he uncovered was revolutionary. Imagine his surprise has he unearthed prehistoric skeletons of lizards, turtles, horses, camels and 200 fossilized rhinos. Research shows these animals faced their fate nearly 10 million years ago, but what caused their abrupt death?Supervolcanoes will uncover the truth bend their mysterious death as they examine the power of these monstrous volcanoes. Unlike “normal” volcanoes which are formed by a column of magma rising from deep with the earth and then causing an eruption of the surface. Supervolcanoes are hidden deep beneath the Earth’s surface and are one of the most mysterious wonders.

As we will see in this film, there are merely a handful throughout the world, but this is a good thing, as they can cause massive destruction. If one of these supervolcanoes were to erupt it would be felt across the world and could very well cause mass destruction. Discover these mysterious supervolcanoes in this amazing documentary.
