      The Corporation is today’s dominant institution, creating great wealth but also great harm. This 26 award-winning documentary examines the nature, evolution, impacts and future of the modern business corporation and the increasing role it plays in society and our everyday lives. Mostly critical about how modern-day corporations their business, especially in the United States, this film shows a lot of examples to their influences.

      “The Corporation” starts off with showing how a business model works. Formed in order to fulfill certain duties and obligations, the corporation has grown into a commercial institution, which is protected by the same rights and freedom as an individual.

      The film further explores the business practices emplyed by corporations and then compares this to a way an individual pyschopaths behave, in that corporations are mostly unaffected by other people’s feelings. They are also deceitful and unmindful of the plight of others and their only agendy is gaining profit. Corporations are also notorious for not following the law, and more often than not, they do get away with it.

      Are corporations really that bad? This film will answer the question with additional insights from insiders and critics like Milton Friedman, Noam Chomsky, Naomi Klein, and Michael Moore.
