In the world of science, Stephen Hawking is like a rock star. Being the most famous man of science in the world, he is credited for finding proof of the Big Bang Theory, which he discussed at great length in the best selling book “A Brief History of Our Time”.

Despite what he has presented, however , scholars are still debating over the proof he has unearthed. This debate is still happening, even after three decades.

Hawking’s proof of the theory is supported with mathematic arguments as developed by Roger Penrose. Penrose arrived at the technique in order to prove the existence of black holes. And Hawking has realized that the Big Bang Theory was like the black hole theory but done in reverse, and that in order to understand this, he studied the black hole theory to arrive at his conclusions. The more he checked these theories out, the more he was convinced it supported his own.

This documentary recounts the details of The Hawking Paradox. It was originally aired on the BBC  in 2005.
