The Hubble Deep Field is an image of the area that defines a small part of the Ursa Major, a constellation in outer space. It  is a select space that was captured specifically for observation by the Hubble Space Telescope.

Tony Darnell, a scientist from Nasa, presents this video of what the Hubble Deep Field looks like.  The telescope took different exposures of the area for ten days, or between December 18 to 28 in 1995.

The field become a vital landmark for scientists who are studying about the universe and outerspace. Many scientific papers have either based or cited their work from observing the Hubble Deep Field (HDF).

Following this, or three years after the creation of the HDF, another site in the constellation was imaged and is now known as the Hubble Deep Field South. With two areas now bein studied, scientists look for similarities and differences which would help strengthen the theories and hypothesis we have of the universe.

There is also a deeper image taken of the Hubble Field and it is known as the Hubble Ultra-Deep Field.
