The Human Senses

Fragrances, sounds, sights and tastes remind us of moments, of events that trigger memories long forgotten. What makes these sights, sounds and fragrances so attractive or off-putting, that our brains seem to let us not forget these?
Nigel Marven takes us on a journey to some of the most off-putting and loveliest sights, sound and smells to witness in the documentary “The Human Senses”. Going on a deeper level, he explores the biology behind why each of us have diverse tastes or aversion for food. He also experiments on sounds and tracks down which of these produces or triggers the most emotional response from us. With the help of stuntman Marc Cass, Nigel also studies balance and studies the different sensations we can experience when we’re high up or turned upside down.
This series is a fun experiment to knowing how the senses actually work. We use it all the time but we don’t really bother with such details, which are actually very important to understanding the human body.
This documentary is an educational and a fun way to learn about all these things!
