This documentary is a feature done by a sailors, marine biologists, scientists and filmmakers who spent more almost two years in the Antartic in order to study the effects of Global Warming.
The whole crew endured harsh and abnormal conditions, worked under winds and cold, and even escaped threats to their lives in order to document their activities.
In one instance, the crew had to maddeningly avoid being slammed by the wind on to rocks. In another instance, the discover a site with abnormally warm temperatures, the ground wasn’t stable enough nor iced enough, that it didn’t provide a proper habitat for seals and their young.
The film takes us over land and under the sea to show images and natural wonders that were never before captured on camera.
With Jean Lemire providing insights and commentary, this documentary is an awe-inspiring and an eye-opening piece that reminds us just how fragile this world is.
