The Mystery of the Jurassic

In the Jurassic Period some 200 million years ago, there were only quite a small number of primitive creatures in the Earth, but 50 million years later came the evolution of carnivores and even plant eaters, which would exist for several million years more. What were these carnivores and plant eaters? And where did they come from? Was this part of the change in the environment?
“The Mystery of the Jurassic” attempts to find out the missing link to these creatures. With little or no fossils from this period of time, researchers and scientists ahve little to work with are are basing it all on theories and speculations.
But in the 90′s paleontogists in Argentina were able to discover what they believe were mass fossil deposits during the mid-Jurassic period. Geologists and other men of science everywhere felt they unearthed a goldmine as this may just provide the answers they are looking for.
As they test out theories based on these findings, it became more evident that mass extinction was not a common facet of the fossils found in Argentina. So these scientists are still trying to learn more about the Jurassic period, hoping to finally complete the story of the mysteries of the dinosaurs.
