It isn’t easy to interrogate psychopaths and criminals, especially when what they can tell you will provide crucial information to solving a case. Experts at interrogation have to undergo intensive training for this, to learn about the science of it, as there are tricks or tactics to use to draw the truth from the one being questioned.

Interrogation is a form of science, specifically of human behavior, and most people are not good with carrying this out with good results. The wrong questions can break the case, which is why it is important to understand the science and the psyche behind it.

What are the key elements one must take note of in order to draw out the right answers from the one being questioned? What must the interrogator avoid and what must he try to trigger?

This documentary digs deep into the tactics and enumerates the ways the brain and body responds to interrogations or why people fail at lie detection tests. The film features research and data, as well as an MRI scan in order to illustrate just what happens to the body during an interrogation.

Video reminder that the police are NOT there to help you. In our adversarial system of justice the police are the adversary, not the allies.

Individuals remembering the U.S. Constitution bill of rights, specifically the 5th Amendment, is the strongest deterrent to being wrongfully convicted/prosecuted…

And most of these interrogators learnt thier skills here in the UK as we have many American police/detectives come here for that sort of training as we are No.1 in interrogating.

I am highly skeptical of your statement. Do you have anything to back up these claims, or are they just opinions? Just asking out of curiousity.

And now I remember why I hate the police so much, just to bad because we need them. After all, who else have we as a society to turn to when things turn ugly. We should not have painted ourselves in to this corner, we need a more humane and better equipped force other then the police to do this kind of work.( Hunting sparrows with a canon never seems to work, I wonder why…) That way, we could leave the police to do the dirty work, like hunting down criminals, stopping the drug trade aso, but when it comes to human relations, they are just to brutal and un-equipped to do it properly. Not saying they are bad, we definitely need them…..
