The Big Bang Theory is one explanation about how the Universe came to be. It suggests that the Universe was once a hot mass that expanded and formed into different planets and solar systems over a billion years ago. While largely still considered a “theory” the concept behind this has become a widely accepted fact and some scientists have already tried to test this theory and found it to be most comprehensive, conclusive and accurate.

Over the years, a range of theories have been developed by modern physicists based on the Big Bang model and scientists would build other ideas based on this, compounding and confirming the validity of the theory even more.

Progress to the study of the Big Bang theory also resulted in the development and advances of technology like the Hubble Telescope and satellites. These technology has helped cosmologists do further testing and measuring of the Universe, based on the original Big Bang model, allowing us to discover even more about the Universe.

what the hell man? everytime i click on ANYTHING, even if it’s not even on a link, I get a pop up window with some ad in it? it’s definitely only this site and it’s been constantly happening since you’ve updated the web page. while I welcome the new layout and all, this popup crap is going to drive away repeat visitors – not encourage them.

I highly suggest you fix that or even people who’ve visited the site as long as I have will slowly stop returning.

    • Mitchell Armstrong

I agree with ex-fan. Too many pop ups.

    • (just a) FROG on the LOG

You know I love ya, DL, but yup – what they said – a bit excessive on the poppers. (but you’d have to block me before I would stop showing up here ;] )

This redesign has turned the site from a quick loading easy to navigate site to a barely interesting experiance. I am sure this was done in the intrest of the almighty buck, and you have every right to profit on what was a site i visit several times a week, if not every day. However, with as many pop-ups and as many pop-ups, oh and dont forget that you get a popup everytime you click anything, it has cut my traffic in half

“POPULAR AND FULL-LENGTH DOCUMENTARIES OF THE WEB. NO REGISTRATION OR ANYTHING ELSE IS NEEDED! ”

Then why do I have to register to ‘PushPlay’ using my credit card to watch these documentaries?

      • Kingboo

That would be a popup your looking at.

    • stiki

I agree. Sharing passion for education and sharing knowledge through these documentaries should not be a profitable venture. At least not when its a bother to the experience itself.

Part 9 ~2:25 “Hydrogen Dioxide, water”

Somehow History Chanel managed to put 2 oxygen and 1 hydrogen together ^V^

Personally, I would like to see Tim be able to make a few bucks off his website – I think he more than deserves it. Wouldn’t the majority of us agree that similar sites out there actually pale in comparison to Documentary-Log? The “great job”s, and “at’a boy”s can only goes so far. He really has been such a gracious and accomodating host to everyone, so I hope that a balance can be found where we all can enjoy our time here, and benefit from the site (including Tim!)

@ Ariel – Sorry for my comments being irrelevant to your video post here. I did enjoy watching it. (well, actually I listened to it while cleaning the kitchen)

      Thanks!

i use google’s chrome browser with the adthwart plugin and i dont receive any popups.

    • Robbyou

I dont want to add blockers and change browsers. I want the site to run the way it used to. It was SOOOOOOOOO smooth, like polished marble! I will freely admit that I hate change, and again, let me state that I believe that the site owner should profit as it is noble effort, probably the best around. But the reason it was the best around was that it had GREAT content ALONG with ease-of-use. Now, a level of complexity has been introduced which hinders the experiance. I would love to see a “comments” link again and a way to sort by popularity and such.

    • darth pete

i think everyone should just dry their eyes, its just a few pop ups for goodness sake, this site is still top notch brain fuel.

    • (just a) FROG on the LOG

As if spoken from my own mouth. Thank you Robbyou.

    • Wry

It’s only a few pop-ups, not going to hurt you. I can easily spend two seconds closing it to have a flourishing amount of time watching ad free imagery. Immature and bitter natured to think other wise. Smile dears.

    • (just a) FROG on the LOG

Obviously you weren’t here a few days ago. DL has made changes since then so the pop-ups are no longer so intrusive.

    • Tiago C.

Really great doc. One of the best i’ve seen on the subject.

    • Loki

no, the owner should NOT make money off anything he doesn’t own and have copyrights for. All these documentaries are the intellectual property of others and while I believe they should be shared freely, no one should make any profit from something that belongs to someone else.

    • Robbyou

That is why loki is here watching another’s “work”; not valiantly searching the net for content. The site owner obviously has something worthy of repeat visits. He has created the site, pulled together a group of like minded users’ reuests and provided content in a way which keeps people coming back. That to me is intellectual property of another, which you (loki) are profiting from. Have you made a contribution to the site? Have you made a contribution to the content? Perhaps. Either way, your brain has profited from THIS site. your irratation rings hypocrytical

    • mr.wrongway

Why are you discussing about pop-ups when you should discus about greater and more interesting things like the universe or the document itself.

    • Johnny Stallion

Really simplistic. Seen this information many many times. Good for people new to the subject though and entertaining.

    • Karah

This is the perfect way to break down this inrfomation.
