Torture

Does torturing prisoners and suspects really bring effective results? If torture does work to draw answers from prisoners, which may be crucial to the solution of war, is the means justified?
It’s no secret, this is the method used in the war on terror. And while many are shocked at how these methods can go to the extreme, it’s something that is indeed happening.
This documentary, done in four parts, delves into the disadvantages and advantages of using torture. The United States and British government may sanction this, even without giving its official consent. Some folks will say it’s necessary form of harsh punishment, especially when the one being punished is most likely holding the knowledge or the key and the information that will wipe out half of New York’s population with a terrorist’s bomb.
Since the attack at the World Trade Center, the American Military have set up prison camps in the Middle East, as well as in Guantanamo Bay, where they say, torturing of prisoners for confession and information viable to the intelligence unit, is drawn out.
And it may also be the same methods used at actual prisons in the US, where criminals are growing by the number and crowding the facilities.
This documentary explores whether torture has become part of a pervasive system, allowing this brutal method to be used and abused.
