Vlad The Impaler

Vlad the Impaler, or Vlad III, was the Prince of Wallachia in the Kingdom of Hungary. He is the original “Dracula” and was tagged as Vlad the Impaler upon his death. He earned this monicker for his tireless efforts against the Ottoman Empire and was known to use cruel force, especially against his enemies. He was not into taking prisoners, but would rather annihilate any enemies he capures. It has been said that he was able to kill more than ten thousand.
He had an ambition and determination unlike any other and was bent on rebuilding his empire’s fortress with slaves. Legends have it that these slaves worked until their clothes fell off, and Vlad the Impaler still ordered them to work naked. Many slaves died as they were trying to rebuild is castle.
Vlad III was captured at the hands of the Turks and was apparently imprisoned for at least a decade. While in captivity, he worked his way up the political scheme of things, and soon, was able to relinquish his post. Two months after his rule, however, he was assasinated.
His period of captivity and his death have unclear details and this documentary aims to cast the truth about it.
