This documentary chronicles the Cassini/Huygens mission. It’s a collaborative effort from NASA and the European Space Agency, to explore the planet Saturn and its fascinating moon, the Titan.

The mission was started in 1997 and took two decades to materialize. The space crafts included in this voyage consisted of an orbiter (Cassini) in Saturn and a lander or prober (Huygens) in Titan and they were launched to gather data. Surprisingly these space crafts are also able to gather data from neaby celestial bodies like the Jupiter and the heliosphere. The prober Huygens is still present on Titan, where it landed in 2005. The whole mission is expected to end in 2017.

This documentary delves on the success of the mission, and presents what has been captured by the space crafts, such as the rings of Saturn, which has been a mystery to all of us. Titan, apparently showed a soupy atmophere and according to the experts, this was the exact conditions of our own planet several billion years before.

The data captured by the Cassini/Huygens mission has definitely given us an additional understanding of vast universe. But could this mission clue us in its origin and our very own existence?

That was great. I'm sure in the future humans will be living on Titan, if we survive long enough.

Well in the short period of time between when the sun expands to encompass the Earth, and then shrinks back dowm, I imagine the climate would be livable if we'd been terraforming for a while. Won't really be around to see if I'm right though, so it's king of a moot point.

      Good docu.
