Weekend Nazis

Re-enacting World War Two battle scenes is actually a popular British past time. However, this has grown controversial among those who do not participate in the weekend activity because, apparently, the battle re-enactments also include playing the SS or the Nazis. Is this pushing it too far?
John Sweeney explores the War & Pece Show in Kent and tries to understand why others think it’s fun to portray what others think may be racist and extreme. There are even enthusiasts who come to these activities with disturbing images and paraphernalias of the German military unit. These items are actually banned in some countries in Europe.
Keeney discovers the fun side as well as the dark side of this activity and then discusses how society viewes this. He inverviews some of the participants, including experts about the Holocaust to present both sides. Using a secret camera to record everything, he shows a world of fanatics that is quite intriguing and fascinating.
