Whatever! The Science Of Teens

Ahh, to be a teenager is such a confusing stage. Not yet an adult and no longer a child, teenagers go through a lot of changes in their behavior, convinctions and assertions. Oftentimes, they will not see eye to eye with an adult guardian or parent. This is the stage of exploration, and of finding out who they are and what they want to be. It’s not surprising to hear when an adult exasperately say they can’t understand their teenager, as if they’ve never been one before!
“Whatever! The Science of Teens” is a documentary series that tries to go through the minds of a teenager’s brain and taps into what exactly is going. This feature is quite interesting to watch as it is presented in such a way that not only educates the viewer, but also goes down the level of the teenager, using language they are most familiar with.
Presented by Steve Cannane, who is an award-winning jounalist, the episodes are divided into five categories: Risk, Binge Drinking, Sex, Moodiness and Sleep.
The probe is backed-up by scientific investigations, as well as well-documented research to determine what really constitutes as normal teen behavior.
