Wow, it's Clarke. He's back from the dead.

The greatest never die… like totally :)

    3. CBat says:

I think I prefer this to the other fractal docu. Thanks for uploading!

    4. satan says:

there is an equation that if u put into a mandlebrot set and zoom in for about 666 hours u will see a picture of me

    5. spacebunny says:

Really? Was that before or after the pictures of penguins and bunnies?

    6. DK McGreeb says:

i cant believe that weird-talking grey haired prick had to spoil it at the end by saying its the work of god, there is just no escaping these retards even in science

      • antick says:

science is slowly making its way to discovering god, whether you like it or not. The discovery of the fractal is the biggest leap mankind has made towards that discovery. Forcing yourself not to see an infinite being behind the work of the fractal is as desperate as discarding rain (or other source of water) as the cause of the puddle in front of you. There is only one way of looking at the fractal reality without the inevitable question of WHY and HOW.

P.s. i doubt he meant any particular sort of god, such as the christian god. Its whatever you want it to be, it could even be your own consciousness, as long as it contains the infinity of a fractal within itself

    7. robertm says:

Hominid Apes will be hominid apes.

    8. jes says:

Anarcho-Capitalism is the only fractally consistent political philosophy.

Self-similar, and simple rules can create beauty.

    9. tom servo says:

the planck length is the blank page for which the 1st "seed" of the fractal begins? if there is a beginning. but don't fractals have to begin with a "seed"? i'm ignorant but interested.

    10. geog says:

The first thing that came to my mind after watching this was a book on water crystals by Masaru Emoto. These crystals have a Mandelbrot look about them even for someone like me who knows absolutely zilch on the suject.

    11. Sinncier says:

They say that the plank length is the smallest measurable length. That WE can measure they mean right? If something can be cut in half, then that piece be cut in half, then that peice can be cut in half, and the plank length be cut in half, then wouldnt that suggest that units and the universe is infinite? As a whole, everything can be split in two, EVERY seperate WHOLE has 2 halfs. So plank length can not be the smallest length. Length is INFINITE. Big or small.

    12. Ana says:

the most amasing thing I ever heard!!and it makes sence, with this we can try to reproduce a map of inter-comunication for any life form. with this new language in his baby steps we can re-shape the preception on time. can anyone see that? the potential in pratical ways not yet discovered?it can and hopefully it will change everything. if we can do this and see this is possible to re-think a completly new way of organization. sociologicaly, tecnologicaly, cronologicaly, …, in everything…

    13. Cathy says:

Fractals are the greatest news to science, art in our lifetime. Infinity has never seemed so cool.
