    • The Day I Died

Some scientists believe that Near Death Experiences (NDE) are a result of the brain functioning even after death and this documentary looks into it.

Featuring survivors of cardiac arrest, scientists try to delve into how the brain functions at this point. The conclusion is that the mind and brain are two separate things. With the help of research, scientific explanations, this documentary tries to present proof to the discovery.

Ooops! Part one seems to be from another doc… (Part 1 – Dinesh D'Souza Debates Daniel Dennett)

    2. Documentary Log says:

Thanks for noticing Nick. :) I should pay more attention to what I copy sometimes.

    3. Nick says:

      Thanks :o)

Trippy, and well delivered for something so out there. I don't see why the BBC had a problem with it. Personally if I don't scoff aloud more than 3 times, who cares if it's strange?

    5. Koele says:

I love this doc. It is a reminder for me of what is the truth spiritually. I've had an out of body experience very similar to NDE's that I accessed via transcendental meditation. Especially the warmth and love and the sense of being "spoken" to or guided. I also think the brain is a receiver (or interpreter) of consciousness… rather than it being believed to be the producer of consciousness. When you leave the body and increase in awareness… it just …it changes you and how you think about what you are beyond this bag of bones.

Very interesting explanation from the doctor from Tucson involving Quantum World. Awesome movie and very good job for keeping this site up!

    7. Barbara Kazmierczak says:

I simply cannot understand why the BBC would not allow a reshowing or DVD of this incredible look at near death expeririances and the intriguing possiblity of mind separate from brain. We are such neophytes in our study of mind/brain. How fascinating to think a new scientific study area could come from this. Thanks so much for keeping this series alive.

    8. Dr. Faisal says:

What can I say, now we are moving towards the belief that are rejecting for centuries. Absence of proof of some fact is not enough to reject it.

    9. Irfan Majeed says:

Its Wonderfull…This documentary brings a great feeling of confidence for people who believe in life after death and who believe in God. It proves that we will be rewarded an eternal peace and harmony for our good deeds and off-course will also be punished for bad ones. It also alarms us about the mortality of this material world and reminds us about the true purpose of our creation which is pretty much clear to all i.e. to worship our creater (The One and Only God) and spread peace and love among ourselves. God has given his signs all around us about His existance and His Unity. And now its upto us that how we recognize our God and how we fulfil our duties.

      Thanks alot

    10. Sandra says:

      Excellent …intelligent and deeply
      thoughtful presentation. I've read
a fair amount on the subject of NDE's
(including Moody's Life After Life) but
this was really fascinating to watch and
hear other people's stories ..and to
learn about some of the current
scientific research that is going on
      relating to mind and consciousness.

      Many thanks! Sandra

    11. Joe says:

These near death experiences are nothing more than hallucinations from the brain as it is starved of oxygen.

    12. Johnny Stallion says:

Most of the parts are blocked by copyright now.
From what I have seen, I still don’t believe in any of the spiritual nonsense. It is completely explainable from a neuroscience point of view. Speaking of which, of the experts I saw, there was a cardiologist and a Professor of Psychiatry. Not really experts in the actual function of the brain. Of course I may have missed something in the missing parts. I’d love to see the guy talking about Quantum World.

    13. Marden says:

Keep these aritlces coming as they’ve opened many new doors for me.
